World Host Awards For WHS Students

We were delighted to welcome Ellie Lamont, owner of The Mackay’s Hotel, to the school recently to award some of our Travel & Tourism pupils their WorldHost awards. The aim of the WorldHost programme is to share the basic principles that are the heart of customer service in the industry recognising or building on good practice and identifying the skills needed to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues. The pupils had to be able to explain the benefits of providing excellent customer service, identify the importance of creating a positive first impression, recognise techniques to effectively engage with customers and recognise the impact of positive attitude in the workplace by the end of the programme. Thirteen S4 pupils participated within this interactive training programme, who all passed with flying colours! Well done to all!
