MARCH 2015: Wick High School Parent Council Donates Microscopes to School

The biology department of Wick High School have just become the proud owners of two high precision microscopes thanks to the efforts of the Parent Council who secured the necessary funding, and to Scientific and Chemical Supplies Ltd. who supplied the microscopes at a much reduced price.

The microscopes link to a computer allowing the projection of the magnified materials to be viewed by a whole class at once and in greater detail than has previously been possible. The acquisition of the microscopes will enhance the learning experience of biology pupils in the school and will open up new avenues for practical investigation work by senior pupils.
