Our superb netball players have been in action recently. Below is a round up of performances and results from coach, Miss Bain.

Wick Senior Teams took on Stromness on the 18th of September both teams played excellently but were defeated by a strong Stromness side. Player of the match from Wick 1 was Katie McDonald and from Wick 2 was Sophie Mackenzie. The girls play their remaining games in Kirkwall in November.

The S2 team played Thurso on the 30th of September. The standard of netball was brilliant to watch but the Wick girls were the stronger team on the day. They won their game 32-11 with Sophie Sinclair awarded Player of the Match. The team have the rest of their qualifiers in Inverness in November.

The S3s have played all their qualifying games over recent weeks. The team first took on Thurso on the 30th of September and played some fantastic netball leading to a great win of 32-21. Erna Thain was awarded Player of the Match. The team then played their remaining games in Inverness on the 8th of October against Grantown Grammar, Fortrose Academy and Kingussie High School. Despite having three games to play the girls played fantastic netball throughout and won all their games. Players of the Match on the day for each game were Gracie Melvin, Erna Thain and Charlotte Simmonds. This has lead the team to top their qualifying group and they will start their run in the cup next term.
