The school’s Motorcycle Club recently received a very kind donation of £500 from TEAM MCC, a local motorcycle club that focuses on raising funds for local good causes through their bike rallies.

The cheque was presented to the club by Mr Kenny Mackenzie who is the chairman of Team MCC. He was able to visit the school and see the projects that the pupils are working on, and the practical skills they are learning.

The club was formed two years ago and continues to go from strength to strength. Pupils are given the opportunity to work on a range of motorbikes and learn how to complete routine maintenance, right up to full engine rebuilds.

The money will go directly to funding the club’s upcoming trip to Inverness. The pupils are being given a tour of Mitchells Motorcycles in Inverness where they will get to see their workshop facilities and also have the opportunity to speak to their technicians. On the day they are also getting the chance to go go-karting.
