Social Media Workshops For S3/4

At the end of last month, all S3 and S4 pupils took part in Social Media workshops ran by local organisation RASASH (Rape and Sexual Abuse Service Highland).
The workshops focused on staying safe online and covered phenomena such as cat-fishing, cyberflashing, grooming and deep fakes. Young people were encouraged to discuss several scenarios highlighting risk and collaborating on where those affected could go for support.
The pupils responded well to the workshops and we thank RASASH for bringing their insightful workshop to Wick High School.

RASASH are also currently running a drop-in safe-space on Monday lunchtimes for anyone interested in discussing any issues around gender-based violence or social media misuse.
