Wick High S2/3 Netball Team Get Back Into Action vs Shetland

Wick High School was delighted to welcome some rare sporting visitors when our S2/3 Netball team played a Scottish Schools Cup match against Shetland, yesterday. In the end Wick lost out 56 – 42 against a well drilled, experienced team.

Having had no competitive games leading up to the match, this was an encouraging result. The Wick girls got into their stride in the 2nd half and went on to win the fourth quarter by 12 goals to 8. It was difficult to pick out any one player as they all played their part, however Amy Coull at goal shooter deserves a mention for her consistency and link up play and Joanna Gunn (centre) was voted by the opposition team as Wick player of the match.

Well done all!
