From Monday 28 February 2022, pupils and staff in secondary schools will no longer be required to wear face coverings in classrooms. However, schools and The Highland Council will fully support any individual who wishes to continue to do so.

Face coverings will still be required in indoor communal areas including corridors and toilets, and by adults where they cannot maintain a physical distance with other adults, children and young people.
