Purple Friday!

On Friday 25th February, we will be celebrating our first ever Purple Friday. This is a day created by LGBT Youth Scotland to raise awareness of the great work they do in a bid to make Scotland the best place for LGBTQIA+ young people to grow up.

Tomorrow (Thursday 24th February) the S6 will be hosting a Pride & Purple-themed bake sale. Make sure you bring some spare change to buy some delicious treats.

On Friday (25th February), pupils and staff are invited to wear something purple. This can be something subtle like purple socks or you can go all-out and arrive in your full purple three-piece suit. There is no donation required to wear something purple; the aim is simply to show that Wick High School is a place that celebrates diversity. We are working towards creating an as inclusive school as possible and Purple Friday is a step towards that.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone’s purple on Friday!
