Usually, at this time of year, we would be running a series of transition events to welcome our new S1 pupils and their families to the school. Obviously, this has been made impossible by the current situation. To compensate we are, instead, producing a series of online resources which will, hopefully, give our new pupils and thier parents/carers an understanding of the school and serve to calm any anxiety around the move to secondary, a move which is challenging at the most ‘normal’ of times!

Below is a short form to begin this process. We understand that pupils and parents/carers will have many questions regarding the current situation, as well as transition to high school in a wider sense, and this form allows you to ask these questions and have a member of the Guidance team or the school’s Depute in charge of Pupil Support, Mr Grant Mackenzie, answer them for you. If you give permission, we would like to use these questions and answers to create a ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ section in our P7 to S1 Transition page of this website to help others in the same position. This page will also be the place where all resources relating to the transition period will be posted. Coming soon to this page will be details of a dedicated transition Google Classroom that we would like P7 pupils to join as well as details of upcoming online web chats with the Guidance teachers of our school so that P7 pupils can meet them and ask questions about high school. Please watch this webiste for details of these events when they are published in the coming days.
