RedCritter Pupil Rewards Coming Soon!

Next week Wick High School will become the first school in the UK to introduce an exciting new pupil rewards system. RedCritter is an online achievement recognition and rewards system originally developed in the USA which has been hugely successful in promoting positive ethos and behaviour in schools there.
The development of this for our school has been in progress for many months and we are set to ‘go live’ with the system on Monday next week. Pupils in S1-4 will all be given a demonstration of the system during assemblies tomorrow (Thursday 19th April). S5 pupils will be given the same information after the SQA exams have finished.
A short parent presentation is available to view below as well as a printable PDF of the slides from it. This will explain the background to the system as well as explaining how the rewards are issued. Also below is a video directly from the company itself which explains the system from a parental perspective.
This system, along with the recently appointed Pupil Council members, represents another step forward in the improvement of the school and its positive pupil-centred ethos. We hope that all pupils and parents will participate in what promises to be an exciting ‘first’ for the school.
If you have any questions about the system please contact Grant Mackenzie, Depute Rector, using the school’s contact details or directly by email using grant.mackenzie@highland.gov.uk
