We have just left the Etihad Stadium after a pulsating Champions League game between Manchester City and Barcelona which ended 3-1 to the home side.

On our journey to the stadium we were told by our tour guide that we had secured twenty places on the “Blue Carpet” which allows guests to meet the Man City players and coaching staff as they came off the team bus. Names were drawn from a hat and eighteen lucky pupils and two staff had the chance to meet some of the best footballers in the world. Some photos of the lads and a picture of Pep Guardiola, Man City manager are below as well as some taken in the magnificent Ethiad.

We are now on our way back to our hotel in Preston and tomorrow we look forward to a visit to Old Trafford, home of Manchester United.
