Food Hygiene Award For Our Pupils

Thirty nine of our S4 pupils have been successful in obtaining their Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate.  The qualification, which is awarded by The Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland (REHIS), is recognised throughout Scotland and will be of great use to any pupils looking to work in occupations that involve handling food. Over the course of eleven weeks in Home Economics earlier this year (as S3 students), pupils learned about food safety, equipment, cleaning and much more.  Alongside this, they worked through over one hundred food hygiene questions as well as revising in their own time before taking the final exam (a multiple choice question paper) to gain their certificate.

Well done to you all!
