WHS Pupils Make Highland Football History

Three of our senior pupils have been part of this season’s all-conquering, history-writing, Wick Groats FC side.

Kyle Henderson, Ross Davidson and Colin Henstridge played their part in helping the Caithness Division One side win every major honour of the season, a haul totalling six trophies.

The lads, along with their team mates, won The Wick League; The Davie Allan Shield; The Eain Mackintosh Cup; The Colin Macleod Cup; the Caithness Division One Championship as well as the prestigious Highland Amateur Cup, establishing them as the top amateur football side in the Highlands. No team has ever achieved a ‘clean sweep’ of these titles before meaning that the lads will go down in Caithness and Highland football history.

Wick High School is hugely proud of their achievements and would like to wish the boys every success in their future football careers.
