Wick High Wins ‘Apps For Good’ Title
Late last night, news of a Wick High School win in this year’s Apps For Good awards broke from London. Mr Aitken, who prepared the teams for the competition, tells us more:
“After a long and busy day at the Apps for Good finals today I’m absolutely delighted to announce that Konrad and John from One Click Politics won the Thomson Reuters Information category.
According to attendees at the event, both Finding Spoons and Pass It On put in excellent performances and really wowed the judges with their pitches but unfortunately didn’t win their category or the People’s Choice awards. They are all real credits to our school and to Caithness.
Over the next 6 months, John and Konrad will be working with a professional app development team to have their ideas translated into a real, working app. Tomorrow morning they’ll meet with them to kick start the process (and get some nice goodies I hope!).”
