Wick High Pupils Visit Williams Formula One Experience Centre

Yesterday, 38 pupils from S2 and S3 at Wick High School enjoyed an exciting trip to the Williams Formula One Experience Centre in Oxfordshire.

The day began with a guided tour of the museum, where pupils explored the history of Williams Racing and saw some of the team’s most famous Formula One cars up close. The highlight for many was getting the chance to sit in the sim racing seats and experience the speed and precision of a Formula One driver on the track.

In the afternoon, pupils took part in a STEM workshop where they investigated the advanced materials used in Formula One engineering. Pupils worked in teams to design a Formula One car nose can and were given the opportunity to crash test their creations.

The trip gave pupils a fascinating insight into the world of motorsport, while also showing how STEM subjects studied in school can open up exciting career opportunities. It was an inspiring and memorable day for everyone involved.
