Recently pupils and leaders from Step Forward Wick Youth had the opportunity to help out in our local community. Along with Wick Development Trust and The Countryside Rangers they managed to plant 300 trees along the Wick Riverside to help provide some woodland areas along the riverside, giving the local wildlife shelter and a food source too.
The hours that the pupils put into helping will count towards their Saltire Award, Dynamic Youth and The Highlands Green Leadership Award.
Everyone really enjoyed their day out and they are hoping to help out again soon with some more local projects. Thank you all for representing the school so well; a great effort was put in by you all, well done!
